Nature Continued

As promised, here are some more pictures from our vacation. I have at least 1-2 more posts worth of pictures. Unfortunately again, they are in no particular order with explanations. Enjoy!

This was our cabin in Meeker, Clara wasn't too sure about it. But once she found rocks too eat, she felt better about the place.

The hat says it all :)

On our hike in the Flat Tops Mountain range. The weather was crazy, hot and sunny one minute, cold and rainy the next. It was still beautiful.

We hiked down to this beautiful lake. We tried fishing it but the fish weren't biting. The little white speck to the right is my dad.

Ok, silly picture, yes, but we really did see a moose, 2 actually but they were hiding and hard to see so we took a picture of Clara stuffed moose instead.

My sweet sister enjoying our last day at Grand Lake. I sure do miss her.

Baby and Momma elks licking the camp fire... weird...

We got stranded in Estas Park on the way to Grand Lake. Luckily it was a beautiful town, a little warm, and the car did get fixed

Petroglyph's a.k.a. Indian graffiti. (Click to enlarge)

This was on our drive home back to Texas. We took a chance and drove through Great Reef (i think) National Park. It was out of the way but totally worth it.

Stay tuned for a couple more to come.

Oh my favorite is the first...Clara looks so grumpy! I'm glad that she found the rocks and that you have proof that even when she's grumpy she's irresistible!

These are all so pretty, but the landscapes are just breathtaking! The nature in that part of the US is beautiful. I've never been to any of the places, but I'd love to go after seeing your photos!
