Letting Clara be Clara

It is impossible to control a 1 year old, you just can't do it. I find myself wanting her always to be posed the right way, dressed the right way, and to give me the cutest faces but I realize that just ain't gonna happen. I have found that the best captures are when I'm letting Clara just be herself. She L-O-V-E-S other kids or probably anyone under 4 feet tall. She is just fascinated by them and would follow them anywhere. We were at Old Navy a couple weeks ago just browsing and she found their stash of soccer balls so I let her carry one around the store. Well, any time she saw a baby, toddler or kid she would throw it to them (or just kinda drop it and let it roll). It was so adorable and of course it made everyone laugh. Tonight my cousins came over and she just followed them every where (almost into the pool). I love her little personality, as sassy as it is most of the time, she has some of the cutest moments that make my heart melt.

I have to say, that is one of my fears for when I am one day in those shoes. They say that it's important to have a hobby, but between photography and the blog and who knows what else, I think you've got that covered. So instead of imparting wisdom, I just really need to tell you that you have the most adorable little girl and I am amazed at your abilities to capture the moment with lighting, framing and composition. So cute! Maybe just learning something new can occupy your mind for a while. Good luck!
