Helpful Share

I've had several people ask me to post some of my pictures SOOC (straight out of camera). I had a great session with my favorite model over 2 and decided it would be a good time to share my post processing. The key to great pictures is having a good picture to start with, ie good composition, light, exposure, and focus. If any of these are lacking, photoshop unfortunately can't fix those. So I have posted 3 sets of pictures which include a sooc picture and then my usual post processing steps. I don't create my own actions but have found that combining some give me my desired look. Each are tweaked to my own liking though, I rarely run an action straight through. I'm sharing this with everybody so photographers and clients can see the time that is put into digital photography and the Art that is created. Photoshop helps to give your pictures that "wow" factor. And it does really help to have a good looking model :)

Birthday

I've been super busy lately but finally was able to proof some pics from a birthday party I photographed on Saturday after the wedding (it was a long day). I really enjoyed it. It was laid back, fun, and the kids were just so darn cute. Here's a little storyboard of this guy's big day.

It's been a while since I have taken Clara out in the open to try and get pictures of her, I forgot how fast she is!! Out of about 100 pictures, 90 of them are of her back. She's so much fun!

Spring Wedding

What a beautiful way to celebrate spring then to get married!! It was such a beautiful day, beautiful weather, and beautiful bride! Here's a little preview for you guys. Here's to a happy life together!

Easter Cont.

When Clara stepped outside and saw all the eggs in the yard she said "WOOOAAAA"! We gave her a couple minute head start and then the big kids went and cleaned up.

Happy Easter

We had a great one though it was terribly busy. I got sick, yes, again, but had way too much to do to slow down. I am doped up on nyquil now and am doing fine but definitely don't feel like blogging or doing much of anything, so I apologize to everyone for my slow responses. Though I am grateful for Easter and I am glad I was able to spend it with my family. Just a quick pic of Clara and I before church. A rare treat to see me in a picture :)

Hippity Hoppity|Easter's on it's way

It's been crazy rainy lately so I unfortunately had to do her Easter pictures inside. I bought this chair in hopes of placing it in a wide open field of green and purple clovers but it's just too soggy. She didn't really want to sit in it, she preferred standing and rocking it and I had to bribe her with Jelly Beans. :)
