I can never get Clara to smile for me while taking pictures and lately she has been sick so it has been a while since she has really smiled. Well, I let her climb up the stairs and once she gets to the top she always goes for the computer. So instead of letting her bang on the keyboard, I let her spin in the chair and she absolutely loved it!!!! I finally got a smile out of her :)
I was privileged to get to photograph a wedding for some old family friend's daughter. I think I found my true calling in life. If I could only photograph weddings, I would. I have a lot to learn but I feel that I am improving in this area faster than in all other aspects of photography. So here are a ton of pictures that I deemed my favorites .... so far... I have at least another 500 pictures to go through.
Tyler's b-day was last weekend and I totally forgot about the pictures. So here they are! Summer is so nice because any time you have any kind of celebration you can almost always count on it being a pool party. Clara had a better time with the water this time. I can't believe Tyler is already 7!! I still picture him as no older than 4. I love his guts though!
It has been the fastest 3 years of my life!! Today is our anniversary and I can't believe it has been 3 years but at the same time it feels like we have been together much longer (in a good way). I can't tell you how perfect we are for eachother. We get along so well, have so much in common, and we never fight. When we were first engaged we got a lot of negative comments about marriage - how hard it is, how the first 5 years are the worst and the hardest to make it through - but honestly, these have been the best 3 years of my life. I could never imagine my life without him and when I do it makes me want to cry. I just love him so much. He's the best person in the world and I'm so lucky he found me. Here's to a good 80 years more and forever after that :) Love you Robert.
I just wanted to congratulate Andrienne on graduating with her Masters degree!! How awesome is that??? I Don't know how you did it but nights up at the office till 10pm probably had a lot to do with it. I'm glad you finished and I'm glad your staying at PJCo.... even though the rest of us are leaving.... sorry 'bout that... Love ya girl!!
Clara turned 11 months yesterday and I still can't believe it. I am having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that first, I will have a 1 year old in 1 month and second that she is no longer my little baby. She's a toddler!! I never thought it would go by this fast! She is trying really hard to walk. Right now she just cruises from couch to wall to chair to table, anything she can get her little hands on and she has also learned how to climb stairs. I thought we would be out of this house before she learned how to do that! She is such a doll and I love her so much. I'm so glad I was blessed to be her mom.
It finally happened, the 5th movie in the Harry Potter series finally came out but I got the satisfaction of seeing it a whole 6 hours before everyone else.... probably not everyone else but at least a couple million. My sister, Michelle gets a lot of hook ups and this was one of them. We were both able to go the the Premier of Harry Potter & The Order of The Phoenix. I would have to say that my taste for Harry was definitely satisfied. It was a great movie and a great addition to the series. Unfortunately it left a lot out and changed quite a bit from the book, but I guess that has to be expected or the movie would have been 10 hours long. I think they did a terrific job of getting rid of the annoying aspects of the book and portraying the scenes and characters the way I imagined. It really was a terrific movie, I can't wait - though a little scared - for the book to come out!!!!!
This past weekend was quite a busy one that I hope to never repeat. I helped a friend of mine photograph 2 weddings in 9 hours. Sound stressful?? It was! I love photographing weddings and it wasn't that it was a bad experience or anything it was just way too busy. It was really tiring to go from one, have an hour break to reload and then move on to the other. I love weddings, just not 2 in one day. Here are some pictures from the first wedding. I didn't know these people but they were super nice and pretty easy to photograph which helped make it less stressful... luckily...
