This past weekend was pretty fun. I have spent almost every day with Melly since she has come home. It is so great having her back, I really missed her. Friday night we got some ice cream and then did some shopping. Since I can't really afford to shop, it is nice to help her find cute stuff. Then we went to dinner with our parents. Saturday was nice and realizing. I didn't have anything to do so I got to be lazy all morning, I haven't gotten to do that in a long time and I MISS IT!!! That evening we had a big family party to welcome Melly back and look at all her fun Ecuadorian stuff. She brought home some neat stuff and I got some really cute bracelets from her. It was a really nice day too. The weather has been so pretty lately but I know the wrath of summer will soon be upon us. It's been a fun weekend.
Did some senior pictures for K. She was a natural, every where I moved she made sure to re-pose, it was cute. I'm really excited about these and wish I had more seniors to do. I did this whole shot in manual which was kinda fun. I'm starting to get the hang of it!
Can I just tell you how much I love having a little girl. I wanted a girl so bad that the day we found it it was a girl I didn't really believe it. Luckily the u/s was right and was the most beautiful little girl ever. I just love everything about her and I love her personality. I especially love having someone to play dress up with. I can't believe how fast she is growing I thought maybe time would slow down a bit when we had a baby but I think it has gone by even faster with work and school and just getting through each day, it has been hard to keep up. I cherish every moment with her and I can't wait to get to stay home with her. I know we will have a blast.
A friend of mine just had a baby about 2 months ago and let me practice taking newborn pictures and in manual mode. Babies are really hard to do in manual!! They move really fast and when they make a cute face you better not miss it because they wont do it again. It seems like just yesterday Clara was that size and having a hard time holding her head up. It has gone by so fast I really can't believe my baby is months old!!! As much as I miss her being little, I sure don't miss the sleepless nights one bit. To see more pics click here.
Clara was sick all last week and this week she is finally starting to act normal again. I was really missing her raspberries. It breaks my heart when she is sick because she usually is so happy but when she is sick she is really touchy and just wants to sleep a lot. I love playing with her and I missed that last week. It was really hard watching her suffer and not really being able to do anything about it. I am so thankful though for a healthy baby who is perfect in every way and I'm so glad she is eating again. She lost 1 & 1/2 lbs. last week. Give her a couple days, I'm sure she will be eating a lot in no time, I mean, she is Robert's daughter. :)
And then there is my Dad. He's the funnest guy I know. It has always been fun to joke with him, I definitely get my humor from him. But he is also very wise and spiritual which I admire too. I can always get a good thought-provoking answer from him when I have any kind of gospel question. I love him a lot. Got any duck food???
