Best Dad Ever

Robert really is a great dad. He has so much going on in his life but I know his greatest joy is his family. He has a hard time focusing on other things when Clara is around because he just wants to spend all his free time with her and who could blame him, she's so cute!! I'm really thankful he has his priorities straight and he sees his family as relaxation and joy. Clara loves him so much and so do I.

Poor Girl

Clara had to get shots yesterday and she was not a happy camper. It is just so sad! She is lying there on the table all cute and helpless then WHAM, in goes the needle and out come the screams! She has been really sensitive ever since. I felt really bad for her so I did the one thing that always makes me feel better.... I bought her a new shirt.
She seems to be growing well. She's now 16 lbs 14 oz (75% percentile) and she is 25 inches long (40% percentile) She's a little squat!

On A Diet

Our family has started a diet!! It has only been 1 day an I'm already ready to give up. :) Just kidding. It's going to be hard work but I'm ready for it. Robert doesn't really need it, I think he is just doing it to get me on the ball, he's so sweet. So here's to a new year and a healthier me!

Growing So Fast!

I didn't think babies were capable of sitting up this soon but Clara's done it! She has started to sit up on her own. She has barely even learned how to roll over!! She is just growing up so fast. She sat on the kitchen counter for a good 5 minutes by herself playing with a jar of rosemary. It was really cute. (don't worry, I'm sitting right behind her) It seems like she has been with us for a long time but it really has only been a short but fast 5 1/2 months. She really is the sweetest girl ever.

Look Dave, It's SNOOOOWINNNNNG!!

I had no idea it was supposed to be like this today. I watched the weather last night and everything, they didn't say ANYTHING about it. I woke up and planned on doing my usual thing, get ready for work, eat breakfast, take Clara to grandma's and be on my way to work. I just so happened to turn on the tv this morning and was floored!! Traffic was aweful, cars sliding everywhere. I was like what the heck?!?! I open the window and just beamed!!! I love the snow!! And this was actual snow!!! Needless to say, I didn't go to work this morning and I think i'll light a fire and get a big cup of hot chocolate!! Texas surprises ya sometimes!

Pink Daisy

I didn't go to work today because of the icy roads and Clara wouldn't go to sleep. So I told her if she doesn't go to sleep I am going to take pictures of her... she smiled at me.... I think she likes it. :)

Fleece Frenzy

We all had our awesome Old Navy winter fleece sweaters on so we thought we would take a picture. It sure was a cold day! I really love days like this. Robert wants to drag me all the way to Montana, but it really wouldn't be so bad because I really don't mind the cold and I really love snow. I never really knew true snow till I went to college but I miss it. Maybe I don't want to go all the way to Montana but Colorado wouldn't be so bad.

Rainy Saturday

Clara and I were home alone all day together. There wasn't really much to do because it was too cold and too wet. So we just sat around waiting for Daddy to come home. It was a very lazy day. Clara did a little light reading but then got bored with that so she decided to just look out the window looking at the rain.

Favorite Blanket

Clara loves this blanket. It is a blanket I got from a friend at my baby shower and it has really been a blessing. She has outgrown quite a few of her blankets, and that is saying a lot because she has 30!!! This is the one we use every night to put her to sleep. The poor thing is still swaddled, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

New Outfit

I went shopping with my parents last weekend and of course couldn't find anything for me... I really need to lose about 20 lbs. But my mom found some really adorable outfits for Clara. Most are for the summer but she got her this one that is just too cute!!! I love the colors of it! Grandmas are great! :)

Pink Tutu

Ok, I know this poor child is going to be the most photographed baby in the world!! I have a feeling in a couple months she wont do it anymore so I might as well take advantage of it while she is still nieve. She is so cute though, I just can't help taking pictures of her. I love her new pink tutu!

Cousins

Sunday was the blessing of Clara's cousin Emma. She is only 5 weeks younger than her. She's a real cute girl too with some crazy hair. It will be nice for Clara to have someone to run around with and reek havoc everywhere. I have a feeling Clara will be the ring leader. :)

Rolly Polly

It finally happened....
After weeks and weeks of trying.....
We just couldn't believe our eyes.....
She's going to be all over the place from here.... on.... out....
CLARA ROLLED OVER!!! She FINALLY did it all by herself!! It was so cute!! She has been trying so hard for the past few weeks and gets so frustrated but tonight she did it all by herself... actually she kind of grabbed onto a toy and hoisted herself over but that counts, right??

Birthday Party

This has been the busiest weekend this whole year, good thing it was at the end!! This time of year is always busy with a wedding, christmas, family, parties, etc. But, even though it was hectic and crazy it was still a lot of fun. I got to help celebrate my two adorable neice's birthday at my house. They are so cute and I'm so glad that they had it over here, they were having so much fun! We also had some cousins from out of town that they got to meet for the first time. They had fun playing games in the front yard. I love these kids!!!

So In Love

They finally tied the knot! It was such a terrific wedding. It was raining all day but they must have been praying hard because it stopped raining for them just in time for pictures. They really are a cute couple and I know they are going to be so happy. I'm glad she let me take pictures, i really think she is going to love them. Congratulations you two!!
